Our goal with the renovation of the lobby and the office area of a car repair shop was to improve the spaces by minimal intervention. Not only does the exposed structure of plywood sheets highlight the industrial aesthetics of the place, but it also adds detail, warmth and cosiness to the public spaces.
We designed a custom case furniture to provide exhibition space for the different objects in the lobby area where the existing beverage vending machines are integrated. Thematically connected to the business, the vintage collections of the owner such as model cars, competition trophies, books, magazines and a retro bicycle are exposed in niches within the case furniture.
We designed a separate case furniture for the office area and its adjacent archive. Continuing through the common curtain wall, the case strengthens the connection between the spaces. Removable storage modules allow the archive to be used for a conference room when needed.
